I Wish

I wish the water turned green whenever I walk by.
I wish the clouds formed a heart when I look into the sky.
I wish I could live a prosperous life instead of just getting by.
I wish that life could be so perfect I never had to cry.
I wish my ancestors were here so I can show my appreciation.
I wish I could take a trip to heaven as my dream vacation.
I wish my people were still excited about learning to read and write.
I wish our people didn’t have to be killed for us to put up a fight.
I wish oppression wasn’t the cause for us to unite.
I wish my privileges were heavy and my burdens were light.
I wish Blacks and Whites could coexist in the world with no drama.
I wish more Black women would be called “queen” instead of baby mama.
I wish this poem would reach many without offending any.
I wish the ones who read it enjoy a life filled with plenty.

In short, I'm a work of ART (Aptitude, Responsibility, & Talent). My goal is to Attract, Retain, and Teach an audience between the ages of 14 to about 50 and beyond the disciplines of life. I've been blessed with the gift of giving knowledge and creating peace within the souls of many who are starving for spiritual satisfaction. I'm no prophet, but I do believe that I am one of God's chosen spiritual leaders and sources of information on how to walk a straight path down a crooked road.
