Ignorance Is At An All-Time High

What is the world coming to? I expect to see ignorance on reality shows and social media but politics? Evidently, sex is not the only thing that sells nowadays. As a savvy businessman and reality show star, Trump is well versed in playing on the stupidity that drives America wild. We are so caught up in entertainment that we can’t even tell when we are being played or punked.

Grab ’em by the pussy, build a wall, and make America great again all came out of the same mouth. Hilarious, right? 916 million loss…really or not really? Funny or not so funny? What’s even more ridiculous is how celebrities endorse this idiot. Yup, the same celebrities many of us celebrate, support, and aspire to be like. This is not to say that Hilary would have been a better candidate with her hidden agenda. She’s clearly a sophisticated liar. But when it comes to choosing the lesser of the two evils, America chose the one who was the most entertaining with his blatant, evasive oration style.

Clearly, Trump isn’t the only idiot operating in pure ignorance in America. His followers are just as ignorant, putting America at a political disadvantage. Hence, followers of this type of behavior are not capable of choosing effective leaders. Anyone who is so consumed with reality shows and the lives of celebrities is a bonafide airhead. Don’t tell me a person’s behavior and history doesn’t matter, for it has mattered for years. It mattered when Obama was president. It mattered when Clinton was president. It mattered when Bush was president. And it mattered for all dead presidents. Did it stop them from winning? Of course not. That’s why America will never be great! In my 37 years of living, I have yet to see greatness come from any of the former presidents of my era. Obama and Clinton came close, but even they were not great. I’ve seen good but not great ones. Lincoln was one of the greatest presidents of the United States, but his tenure was before my time. Nevertheless, it is hard to obtain greatness in these times, for it is blocked by ignorance.

Many times, your choices are a direct reflection of you. In my opinion, putting Trump in office was an ignorant choice. It would have been better to not cast a vote at all. But America’s choice does not surprise me. The behavior of several citizens of this “Christian” country is absurd and insane, so why should their choices be any different? We devalue ourselves with immorality, apathy, injustice and lack of integrity. No, we are not the most corrupt country, but we are definitely not the most clean. I think police brutality victims’ family members can attest to that.

Until we can identify the KKK as a domestic terrorist group, the war against terrorism will never end. If we allow our own people to remain under attack, why wouldn’t they attack us?

Practice What You Preach

Whether you are a pastor, reverend, deacon, or any type of evangelist, this message is for you. I won’t hold you responsible for the disconnected, demonic world we live in, but I will hold you responsible for your actions. You show up on Sundays in your nice church attire, followed by bible study and prayer service during the week. You preach to your congregation about sharing the gospel and ministering to others, and you never fail to mention the significance of sowing seeds. That is all fine and dandy, but how are you leading in your community? If you are only serving from behind the pulpit, I regret to inform you that your work is not done. You’ll never finish mowing the whole lawn by standing in one spot.

There is no way in the world there should be so many lost, unsaved souls when there are churches on virtually every corner in every neighborhood. Do you not understand your role as a Christian or Believer? You preachers today are too comfortable. I remember when churches went out into the neighborhoods to do ministry outreach. Oh, I forgot. That was the Jehovah’s witnesses. If you received a knock on your door at 8am on a Saturday, you knew it wasn’t anybody but the Jehovah’s witnesses. As a matter of fact, they still go out into the community today.

I don’t agree with all their beliefs and practices, but at least they take their religion a step further. Plus, they don’t look for anyone to just show up at their church. They infiltrate the neighborhoods offering prayer and hoping to convert sinners. They even offer a free pamphlet with bible scriptures in it. I know they are not a perfect religion, for none of them are, but I do admire their method for reaching people. I believe every religion can learn something from another, just as republicans can learn something from democrats and vice versa.

Preachers, where were you after all the police shootings? Did you sit and wait for the perpetrators to show up on Sunday? Or did you join with other churches to rally and protest, in a more constructive way, of course? What are you doing outside of the church to introduce people to God? Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. fearlessly fought for our freedom.

What are you fighting for other than to be the most recognized or highest paid preacher? You are telling your congregation what they should be doing, but you’re not doing it. I notice how engaged churches are before they become huge. Why stop now? It is going to take the same time and energy expended to build that church to keep it going, but until you train yourself and your members on how to become active servants, you are nothing more than a building.

Devout Christians and Other Believers

Listen up religious folk. You can’t go around judging every sinner when you commit some of the same sins yourself. Just because you are in church, that does not mean you are of the church. Looks to me as though Satan has infiltrated the church. Some of the same people raising hands on Sundays raise hell Monday through Saturday. Carnal Christians take up space in the pews every Sunday to hear the gospel but don’t apply it. You can tell your neighbor what he or she is doing wrong but can’t seem to see your own faults.

Young people are lost and fearless because the communities lack strong leaders. Discipline starts in the home and used to be reinforced in the neighborhoods. You can tell your daughter not to sleep around, but unless you stop sleeping with the pastor, she won’t find fault with her actions. You can tell your son to never raise his hand to a woman, but unless you stop beating his mother, your message has no weight.

Don’t preach to your girlfriend about dragging for others when you can’t stop talking about how fat Sister Patterson is getting. Don’t preach to your podnuh about taking things from work when you are stealing time. Basically, if you are not qualified to give advice, don’t preach to anyone. Instead, pray for them and yourself more.

To preachers who are extending services beyond the pulpit, continue being a blessing to others! To Christians/Believers extending your practices beyond the pew, continue to let your light shine!

What LGBT Should Stand For

In my opinion, LGBT should stand for Let’s Give Back Together. As for the LGBT community, I can’t gauge how much they’ve given back to their individual communities, but at least they’ve taken the first step. I don’t support their movement, but I do admire how they come together with a common interest in an effort to achieve a common goal. I don’t see enough togetherness in the Black community and even some White communities because they are too divided by distrust, selfishness, greed, and hate. We as a people need to put our ill feelings aside and promote change in our individual communities, for the benefit of our youth. Children are watching our behavior, good and bad. Hence, we have to learn to lead by example. I’m sure we all want our kids to walk a straight path, but we must first master that skill ourselves. Instead of shaking our heads and bad mouthing lost and misguided kids, we need to figure out how we can win them over because they ARE our future, like it or not.

Ways that we can come together…

The best way to come together is through sports. Most people in America love sports. I’ve seen Blacks, Whites, and Latinos in harmony shouting from the bleachers and commenting on the plays and players. If you have a child that plays sports, organize a meeting with parents to discuss ideas for a youth social club. If your children are not involved in any sport or club, you should get them involved in something other than that game, cell phone, or laptop because it’s programming them to become robots. I don’t know if robots will ever become the wave of the future, but for now, they need to learn how to be humans. So many kids graduate from high school and even college without a clear understanding of their role in society. Consequently, they end up just like many of us, doing absolutely nothing of service in our communities. If you get paid to serve in your community, kudos to you! If you don’t, it’s because your role does not require payment. Do it proudly! You don’t have to get paid for everything you do, especially when serving a good cause.

Another way to come together is through church. If you are a church goer, just showing up every Sunday isn’t enough. Sitting on the front row every Sunday will not secure you a spot on the front row in heaven. Virtually every church has different ministries within it. If you are not serving on any, you should consider picking one. Nowadays, there are so many to choose from. Choose one that fits your calling, and you might stand a good chance of getting that front row seat in heaven.

Last but certainly not least, join an adult social club and serve with them. It’s also a great way to network and have fun while doing so. As you can see, coming together to give back is not so hard. Once you see the difference you can make using your time and talents, it will make your heart smile, if you have one.
