He looked me dead in my eyes and lied.
If I was still that chick, I would’ve cried.
But since I couldn’t care less, I let it ride.
Whatever I present, he will surely deny.
So I let him keep telling his story.
He must’ve said a million times he was sorry.
I didn’t budge or blink but couldn’t help but think,
Did he rehearse this mess? Cuz this story is weak!
Suddenly, an Uber pulls up and he seems a bit puzzled.
He recognized the car, so he knew he was in trouble.
Once he finally shut up, I told him to get up, grab his things, and hit the door because I’d had enough.
She called him by his nickname and greeted him with a kiss.
It was his wife who had pulled up, so he felt totally amiss.
With trepidation, he took a seat, and the car pulled off.
The ride was quiet, and she was speeding above the law.
He felt scared, confused, and overcome by fear.
He started twiddling his fingers and pulling his ear.
He had no clue where headed to, but the road started to thin.
He didn’t want to argue because he knew he couldn’t win.
Suddenly, the car stopped in the middle of the road.
She slowly turned and looked at the useless, empty soul.
She pulled out divorce papers and asked him to sign.
Out of shame, he concurred without reading between the lines.
Then she got out of the car and told him he could have it.
She took everything but the car and he signed – silly rabbit.
She yelled, “Don’t remove the Uber sticker because you’re going to need it.”
“Your credit cards are maxed, and your accounts are depleted.”
She danced down the road like Dorothy on Wizard of Oz.
Never play with anyone’s heart unless you’re up for an ugly surprise. 😊😁🤣
